Design Intern responsibilities
As a Notion design intern, you will have the opportunity to assist higher level creatives in the designing of materials across a variety of clients, projects and disciplines.
Interns must possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn methods of design execution in the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office suite. The position requires good communication skills, an enthusiasm for collaboration, the flexibility to multi-task, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
Our interns are partnered with both a mentor and supervisor who will work one-on-one with you via mentoring sessions to answer questions, hone your design skills and help prepare you for real world employment. In addition to the responsibilities below, you can expect to participate in a variety of learning opportunities, including Lunch and Learns (company-wide speaker events), shadowing of fellow colleague’s work days and focused training on specific software applications.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Be prepared to create designed deliverables using skills related to (some) of the below skills and processes:
- Photo manipulation, logo development, original illustrations, page layout, PowerPoint slides and templates, production fulfillment on print media, web and app mockups, craftwork in the building of physical mockups and materials
- Receive and act on feedback from clients and internal teams
- Learn about and maintain user-friendly file structures
- Professional and effective communication with team members. Ask insightful questions in regard to projects and their progress.
- Collaborate with, learn from and share with teammates
- Keep a disciplined and independent work approach and dedication to all deadlines
- Take good notes and adapt to ongoing client and team needs
- Work collaboratively with interns from other departments
Requirements
- Must be incoming Junior or Senior (or recent graduate) pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or similar creative field
- Preference will be given to applicants located in the St. Louis metro area in the summer
- Must present an online creative portfolio showing work
- Experience in Adobe creative applications; PowerPoint and Figma experience are a plus as well as a desire to be trained in these programs
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Is a quick learner; picks up technical skills and programs quickly
- Able to thrive under pressure and go above and beyond
- Professional and able to work in a collaborative atmosphere
- Organized, dependable and detail-oriented
- Team player with positive attitude and cooperative spirit
Internship dates
- Start date: Late May
- Duration: 12-14 weeks (we’re flexible, and can work with you based on school year timelines)
- Schedule: In office Tuesday through Thursday, 8 hours per day
- This is a paid internship!

Account Service Intern responsibilities
The Account Service Intern is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Account Service department.
The position requires the ability to multi-task and perform professionally in a fast-paced environment. The Intern should possess strong communication and critical thinking skills and be eager and dedicated to completing tasks in a timely manner. The Intern takes initiative in problem solving and has the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks and projects.
In addition to the responsibilities below, the Intern can expect to participate in a variety of learning opportunities, including Lunch and Learns (company-wide speaker events), learning about different areas in the marketing field, field trips and one-on-one mentoring sessions throughout the duration of the program.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with project management (project overviews, timelines, budgets, invoices, etc.)
- Schedule and attend meetings
- Take notes in meetings and share with team
- Update status documents/programs (on behalf of client and team)
- Learn various programs and databases used in day-to-day workflows
- Conduct client and project-related research as needed
- Proofread and cross-check content before it is shared with a client
- Draft emails (project kickoffs, client communications, etc.)
- Assist with third-party and vendor relationships (e.g., digital partner, printer, shipping company) and obtain quotes
- General admin, team and account support, including special projects
Requirements
- Must be incoming Junior or Senior (or recent graduate) pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English or similar fields. Graduate degree students welcome as well!
- Preference will be given to applicants located in the St. Louis metro area in the summer
- Marketing/PR/Communications/Creative interest or experience
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), proofing and administrative skills
- Is a quick learner; picks up technical skills and programs quickly
- Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
- Able to thrive in a dynamic team environment and go above and beyond
- Professional and able to work in a collaborative atmosphere
- Has an inquisitive and curious attitude
- Willing to be mentored and receive feedback

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
